Location: Seattle, WA - Capitol Hill Area
Pay: DOE
Schedule: Full-Time
WHO THEY ARE Our client is a well-established affordable housing organization serving communities throughout the Seattle area. They manage a diverse portfolio of apartment communities and are committed to providing quality, affordable housing while creating welcoming and inclusive environments for residents.
They are looking for a personable and organized
Leasing Agent who can guide prospective residents through the leasing process while providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate documentation.
WHAT YOU'LL DO - Respond to leasing inquiries from prospective residents
- Provide information regarding available apartments, rental qualifications, and eligibility requirements
- Schedule and conduct apartment tours
- Guide applicants through the rental application and leasing process
- Collect and review required application documentation
- Assist with verifying applicant information and eligibility
- Maintain accurate leasing files, records, and applicant information
- Follow up with applicants regarding outstanding documentation or next steps
- Coordinate approved move-ins and lease signings
- Communicate professionally with applicants, residents, Property Managers, and internal teams
- Help ensure leasing activities follow Fair Housing requirements and applicable housing guidelines

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE - Previous leasing, property management, housing, or related customer service experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable communicating with prospective residents by phone, email, and in person
- Strong attention to detail when handling applications and documentation
- Ability to stay organized while managing multiple applicants and priorities
- Comfortable learning and following housing eligibility and compliance requirements
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn property management systems
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working with people from a variety of backgrounds
PREFERRED - Previous apartment leasing or property management experience
- Affordable housing experience
- Experience with income-restricted, HUD, Section 8, or other regulated housing programs
- Experience reviewing leasing applications and eligibility documentation
THE MUSTS - Strong communication and customer service skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive applicant information professionally
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the property management team
- Commitment to providing a positive experience for prospective and current residents
